This picture about sums up our Sunday with
Yuhei! He was trying to get sleep anytime, anywhere he could. We visited the wind farms & it was
WindY! These wind machines are amazing & can produce so much power. don't even ask how much, I was trying to pay attention to the class, but kept closing my eyes also. I did learn that they are taller then the Empire State Building and their span is larger then a 747 airplane. HUGE!

These horses are poised above the Columbia River on our way to the Wind Farm. They are beautiful.

We are on an overlook above the Columbia River. Always thought the Snake River was big, but the Columbia River is HUGE! Beautiful River. Silly, exhausted kids!

We also visited the Ginkgo Petrified Tree
Museum. It was fascinating how the Columbia River was formed. I tried to take the boys on all of the outings the group went on because - we have not visited any of the local sites. Very educational day trips.

Puget Sound Energy. We don't get our power from here. We get it from the
Coolee Dam (which photo's of our day trip there will be coming up) We have some of the cheapest power in the state because of the dam. My air conditioning bill for the summer is 75.00 - that is the highest price all summer - & our air
conditioner is cranked most days.

Yuhei is always giving us the peace sign whenever we take his picture. By the end of the week, we would all give the peace sign in our pictures with
Yuhei.

Yuhei taught the kids how to make animals with their hands. I think these are a frog & not sure of the other hand!

Very cool picture of Mt. Rainer!
My mouth dropped at your power bill. Our's was over $300 for the month of July!!!
Looks like you showed your exchange student a good time.
