Basketball, basketball, basketball

Trevor has been in basketball since November, three practices a week plus games on Saturdays. Usually two games on Saturdays. The Saturday games are over, but now it is tournament time. So, there are practices still three times a week. I usually take Trevor to practice and then I just sit in the gym and get my newspaper, magazines and books read. It is a little bit of heaven to just sit and read. I LOVE to read. So, even though it feels like basketball has been going on and on, I really enjoy just watching Trevor's practices and reading. A little time out in my busy day. Trent also was in basketball this year. He tried out for basketball and made it on the B team and then he would play on the C team whenever the other teams had C teams. So, he was playing around 2 1/2 hours of basketball on games days (usually twice a week), plus had basketball practices every day of the week, right after school. Usually we have to push (lovingly) Trent into team sports. Not that he doesn't enjoy them, but he would rather be riding his motorcycle or golfing. This last year in baseball and now in basketball - he has really excelled and felt more comfortable and played with more confidence. We really have enjoyed watching his progression and he has grown up so much (also has grown over a foot in height - taller then me now and is gaining on Steve, he also shaves and his voice cracks all of the time!) Great job Trent and Trevor!!! Go lakers and warriors!
Trent's legs are so long and gangly. Sometimes his legs have a hard time catching up with the rest of his body. Trent has a wicked sense of humor now and says the FUNNIEST things. Yesterday, after we left McDonald's (jacy and Trevor went in the Honda home), Steve, Trent and I went to Lowe's. Trent got into the car and stated that when Jacy pushed him off the bench in McDonald's he said "Jacy pushed me off the bench and it tore my crack open!" A little gross, but I was laughing so hard I was crying. Hmmm, what a comedian! Let me tell you, every girl in YW thinks Trent is a cutie pie and girls at his school are always saying hi to him and TRYING to flirt with Trent, they also cheered him on at the basketball games - so cute & he is clueless!!! LOVE IT!

Cute Liza! Her little brother was on the rival team Trent played. We were commenting on how big his feet were and Liza's mom said that his feet were actually small (her husband is a size 14!) WOW!
