Every year is different at Yellowstone. This year we did not spot a lot of animals close up. But, we were able to watch about five wolves try to bring down a lone elk. It was fascinating. Watching the wolves and also watching and listening to the onlookers. There was our group - a bunch of nut cases. The serious scope spotters who were probably studying Forestry and were on an outing with your study group. The occasional couple who just love to spend time in Yellowstone. And on and on and on. Fascinating stuff. Our group generally just makes fun (in a good way) the SerIOUS rangers, bird watchers and animal lover watchers. We are sometimes disrespectful but WHO cares. We LOVE it! PPO!! PPO!!!
