Trent celebrated his first teen year!

The big 13!!!!!

WOW cannot believe Trent is 13 years old. He had a wonderful birthday. Skipped school & went to his favorite place - the race track with his dad & brother. It was a beautiful sunny day, around 64 degrees. Nearly perfect. He raced around the track with his dad & Trevor raced around the smaller track ALL DAY LONG & I read a book. Pure heaven.

We went to Applebees after & got Trent a b-day fudge & ice cream.

On Trent's b-day he went to school, had a blah day, but then opened his presents & had his favorite ice cream cake! Kelcey got him a bb & Jacy got him a rocket set - he loved everything !!! Especially the crane machine game. He now has M&M's in it!

On Sat. after his b-day we got up at 3 a.m. & went back down to Horn Rapids race track

where we found out that the 13 year old boy that was parked next to us on Thursday - who had crashed on Thursday - passed away on Thursday from his injuries, during surgery. Oh my! We were so sad. There were over 550 riders on Sat. & the whole place was packed with trailers, riders, families, & more riders. Cannot believe another rider passed away. I keep threatening Steve - warning about the dangers of riding, but Steve & Trent are very cautious. Steve did amazing & placed 2nd in both moto's & Trent got the holeshot out of the first moto & then on his second moto raced with about 29 riders. It gets a little scary, but they both LOVE racing so much. I just pray & pray for them & then I am so grateful after the races are over. Trevor did not race because he does not like the big track & they were not having races on the smaller track. So that is a relief. Sure wish Steve would take up golfing again.

Well, about golfing. Jacy was made the official captain of the girls golf team at the high school. She was able to design the graphics for their sweatshirt. I tried to copy the Adobe file onto photobucket, but could not get it to work - of her cute graphics on their sweatshirts. Great job Jacy - ! Her first tournament is this Fri. & she has been working so hard on her swing. We hope she does well! Good luck Jacy!!

Jacy is Steve's official helper. She rushed up to sweep the dirt off of Steve's starting gate spot. What a great helper - this was after her two hour nap in the trailer!

There were 29 kids in Trent's group racing in the 2nd moto. Trent got a great start & finished 6th overall. Great job Trent!!!

Trevor has a bb tournament this weekend here in town (whew!). He is really excited!

Our Stake is putting on the production of Guys & Dolls & we are excited to watch it Fri. night. Thursday, I am driving the youth to our temple (in Tri Cities) & my teacher - Shauna was released on Sunday - now I get to teach till we get a replacement! I am pooped.

And -- April is the crazy month!!!!
