Jones Family Home Evening

Steve gave the lesson last night titled "I'm A Latter-Day Saint". After finishing with the lesson the kids started to give examples of what they hear every day from kids at school that are not LDS.
Jacy - she couldn't spell a word & the girl that she sat by said "you can't spell because you are a Mormon!".
Jacy - "do you worship seagulls?".
Jacy - "why do the men in your church have lots of wives?"
Jacy - "how many kids do you want?" - Jacy answer's with three or four & they say "why, I thought Mormons had to have 8 - 9 kids!!
Kelcey - was asked to see the thirteen articles of faith & then the guy proceeded to make fun of Kelcey & her belief's.
Kelcey - was questioned "why do you believe in a guy that claims to have seen gold plates?"
Steve went on to explain that they need to stand firm in their beliefs. They respect other religions but to not make fun of the kids that are questioning their belief's. The kids have learned to stand up for what they believe since moving up here.
So amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged; God is over all.
Count your many blessings; angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Hope you all have a great day!!! The Jones Family
