Made our way to Pasco over the weekend. There was an arenacross (indoor motocross race = warm!!) that Steve & Josh raced in. Josh raced in five races & steve raced in four. It was a lot of fun. All of the boys LOVED hanging out & just talking race talk.
The highlight of the weekend was some kids asked for steve's autograph & while steve was racing in his final pit bike race the announcer was talking about steve. There were about 2000 people there & the announcer was going on & on about how old Steve was. How it is much harder to recover from crashing, the old bones don't work the same, how there were some 15 year olds at the race, & on & on. In the mean time Steve was coming down the whoops when he looked like he was going to lose it. Well, he did. He crashed a spectacular crash. The boys & I were rolling around in our seats, laughing & giggling. (steve was OKAY, skinned his elbow - but jumped right back on the pit bike & finished the race).
PRICELESS moments!
A really FUN, memorable Sat.
In the meantime Jacy was attending Sadie's with her date. Their group of 14 had dinner at our house & Kelcey, Chris were her waiters, helpers, servers, etc. She had a wonderful time (even when someone pulled the fire alarm during the dance & the fire dept. had to come over & evacuate the high school - memories!)
Will post pictures of her group as soon as Jordyn's mom gets them finished up. Pictures were also taken at our house.
Thanks Kelcey & Chris, also a big thank you to Jordyn's mom for helping with pictures.
This is the freestyle event - insane two guys that race up a ramp, fly through the air & then do crazy tricks on their motorcycles. Very cool to watch!
They are both flying through the air.
Here is the jump that the free style guys race up.

Josh & Steve were in the over 30 class & veterans class. This was their first race together. Pretty cool. Josh smeared Steve! HA!

Steve - sitting a little behind 441 at the beginning of his race.
Josh - it was really difficult getting shots inside the arena. Trent, Trevor & I were using almost every setting on the camera. Trying different angles, light adjustments, etc. It was fun getting to know what worked & didn't work inside with a lot of motion.

I really like these pictures with the blurry background & semi blurry bike & rider.

Well, another week has flown by. Steve has finished putting together the ikea item & I have been painting (with the girls help) old bookcases, re figuring items & rearranging.
Feels great to get organized, especially at the beginning of a new year.

You are getting really good at taking pictures!! I need you to come and take some family pictures for me!! I like all of the race pics, how it picks out the racer and the background is blurry!! Sounds like another fun, busy week!!
I enjoyed your pictures! I took the one of Arlen & Shirlene and put it in my picture file.
