rocket launch & beautiful sunshine!

well, the official launch day came. The boys have been so excited to launch their rockets & were patiently waiting for Steve to get some down time from work. But, that was not going to happen any time soon. Fortunately Steve had a 1/2 day off & was able to set up the launch pad, get batteries ready & prep all rockets for launch. The millisecond the boys walked in the door from school - launch time! Trevor thought the rocket would touch the clouds, Adam told him he was crazy, Trent was mr. boss - explaining & going on & on about rockets, launching, etc. The concentration was intense, the rockets shot high & the joy on two little boys faces was priceless.
It was a GREAT day!

Jacy has been super busy with school work, golf captain duties, practicing golf, (see her adorable YW medallion she received on Sun. - she bore her beautiful testimony, recited the YW theme & then shared her story of making a quilt - out of her jerseys, to the congregation - beautiful!) soccer, YW, & just being Jacy. She opted out of EFY this year because she applied for an student exchange trip to JAPAN!!!! The 12000 dollar trip would be all paid for & she would need about 50 dollars for two weeks in Japan! She received some amazing letter of recommendations & we think she has a really good chance of going! Good LUCK Jacy!

We love our Jacy!

Steve claimed he could get a shot of the rocket taking off - I had given up - the rocket shot up off the launch pad so fast I couldn't get a shot. But, Steve in his normal - watch me, I can do it & you cannot - attitude got a shot of the rocket taking off - SO ANNOYING! But, a great shot!
It was a BEAUtifUL day!!! 57 degrees & sunny! We have been working outside all week, cleaning the garage, car washing, vacuuming all cars, washing all plastic, cloth & leather in the cars, sweeping, rearranging, cleaning the porch, sidewalks, etc. We had the bug - the cleaning bug! Felt so good!!!! Everyone helped work & then we all played!
Cute little boys! Trent is as tall as Jacy now! WOW!

Steve is exhausted - his inventory of the store is next week & then we rush out of town. By the time he gets a day off he will have worked 19 days in a row! There is something very wrong with that - but, we are so thankful he has a job!!! Rough economy!
Trent - mr. cutie boss
watching the rocket & racing to catch the rocket

Spring is ALMOST here!!!!
Trevor - racing to catch his rocket - so it wouldn't hit the street

The bushes & trees do not know it is only Feb.
Oh - the joys of being a BOY!

Ready to roll!
Countdown has begun

The launch pad after a successful launch

i love spring - & this tree. Steve gives it a haircut each spring & I rant & rave that he took too much off this tree, bushes, & rose bushes - but, through the miracle of spring - they always grow back.
It is nice to see Trent reading the instructions - something his dad does NOT do!
Jacy has a graphic class at school & she has been making us these COOL stickers, magnetic stickers, etc. So CUTE! Thanks jacy
Cannot believe how fast time is flying by. When March hits - we get slammed with every one's birthdays. So - I am preparing early this year, which is a first.

hmmmmm. I love capturing moments of pure joy & utter concentration.
Trevor's bb tournament is this weekend, Kelcey is currently picking up her roommate from the airport - Chris has his farewell this weekend, inventory is coming (thank goodness!) & vacation time SOON. life
LOVE It!

Congrats Jacy. You look so pretty.
The rockets looked like they were a success. Steve used to make home-made rockets with a tennis ball.
I think everyone is ready for spring!! We still have a lot of snow to melt.

If you end up going to Japan we are going to have to go with you. Good thing the boys didn't aim the rockets at the house! Have fun at the Olympics.
